Kim Sae Ron’s trouble happened on the morning of May 18 when the authorities booked her for drunk driving. At that time, she refused to undergo a breathalyzer test and opted to have blood tests in a hospital instead.
A source from the Hunting Dogs production team said that they would just the filming schedule. Her agency, meanwhile, addressed the issue through a brief statement.
After sharing her handwritten apology on Instagram, Kim Sae Ron began dealing with new development concerning the incident.

As promised, the K-drama shared a new update regarding the head’s discussions over Kim Sae Ron’s future in the series.
While she would not leave the cast, Kim Sae Ron’s footage might be edited out, if Netflix and the drama’s executives would agree not to show her anymore.

“After discussions with the production company and the actress’s side, Netflix has decided that actress Kim Sae Ron will not be participating in the scheduled filming. Most of the actress’s scenes are already completed, and it is currently being discussed with the production team whether her existing footage will be edited out,” the statement said.
Hunting Dogs is an upcoming action noir K-drama on Netflix about three men who want to be cleared from their debts. But their financial statuses led them to meet one another.
Kim Sae Ron was tapped to play the role of Hyun Joo.
Kim Sae Ron’s Agency Talks About Compensation For Damages
After the incident, the agency also announced that the actress personally wanted to take responsibility for the damages she caused.
She already talked to the Korea Electric Power Corporation, and the actual amount of the damages from the company alone remains unknown. However, an insurance company has already made progress regarding the settlement.
“We again apologize to those who have experienced harm. We will do our best so that compensation for the damages can come to fruition,” it went on.
The exact amount remains undisclosed, but the agency said that 50 places – including the nearby buildings – lost electricity due to the accident. The business around the area was also unable to work for four hours.
