It feels like forever since we last saw Scarlett Johansson in a major project and after her long tenure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the 38-year-old actress is ready for her grand acting comeback. As it stands, Johansson is currently working on Wes Anderson's star-studded film Asteroid City, as well as her television debut in the upcoming thriller Just Cause where she also serves as executive producer.
Now, in case you were wondering what other projects the Avengers and Black Widow actress could be taking on in the future, a new rumor suggests that she could soon collaborate with a beloved filmmaker and it's already creating some buzz online.
According to an anonymous source who told celebrity gossip page @deuxmoi, the MCU veteran was recently spotted in a New York bar meeting with director Shawn Levy. The specifics weren't disclosed but naturally, it sparked a ton of speculation about Scarlett possibly joining one of the Stranger Things producer's upcoming projects, presumably Deadpool 3 or his untitled Star Wars film (which was officially announced last month) among others.

As it stands, the rumored meeting between the two has yet to be confirmed. Of course, Levy is attached to two high-profile projects with Marvel and Star Wars and the idea of Johansson joining any of them is somewhat plausible, especially now that she and Disney are finally on good terms.
There's also a good chance that it could be for something else so it's still best to temper your expectations. Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
