Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine are set to finally team up in the upcoming MCU film Deadpool 3. While the plot details are currently being kept under wraps, the two stars have been hinting (and also bantering) about what we may expect from the highly-anticipated movie.
Recently, Jackman claimed that the title of the Deadpool 3 (which is still tentative at the moment) is "Wolverine and Deadpool." The reveal caused some confusion for fans as some of them assumed that the actor was just kidding while there are some who speculated that maybe it is actually the title.
Today, Reynolds posted a new video on social media where he responded to Jackman's plea to The Academy to not vote for the song from Spirited to receive an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song due to its ramifications when they film Deadpool 3 later this year.
In addition, the Deadpool actor also shot down Jackman's claim about the official title of the upcoming film. "Tsk, Wolverine & Deadpool... Who’s he kidding? Not on your life, Chappie," he said.

This is yet again another series of banters and jokes that we've been seeing between the two actors ever since their team-up in the upcoming film was announced last September. While we expected that the title that Jackman suggested was just a joke, this is certainly an assurance for fans who have been speculating.
It's also impossible that they would title the film with "Wolverine" as the first word since it is a Deadpool 3 project and Deadpool is still going to be the front and center of the story. It is very likely that the official title will heavily emphasize the Reynolds hero even with Jackman's Wolverine being part of it.
As we continue to see more public joking and bantering between the two stars, we should also be hearing more official details about the project in the coming months, especially as they are set to begin production later this year.
Deadpool 3 is slated for release in theaters on November 8, 2024. You can check more details about it here.
