Following Disney's acquisition of Fox, Marvel fans have been anticipating Deadpool's debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Merc with the Mouth's future is yet to be determined but actor Ryan Reynolds provides a three-word update but it's not much.

In a recent interview with Fast Company, Reynolds was asked about what's currently happening with Deadpool. "Three words," the actor says. "I don't know."

"Obviously, everything is on pause right now," he adds, making it clear that Marvel currently has no big plans for the character yet. That said, the actor previously promised that the third Deadpool movie is still in development.

This recent comment also echoes that of his previous update earlier this year, where he pointed out that "it's just all so new with it being over at Marvel now," adding that he's figuring out the "ins and outs" as much as he can.

The biggest cheerleader for Deadpool movies is Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld, who has been very vocal about how Marvel Studios isn't planning a Deadpool 3 movie right now.

Hopefully, fans wouldn't have to wait that long to see the Merc with a Mouth in action once again, especially since his first two movies were deemed a success in the box office.
