Running Man star HaHa and his wife, Byul¸, are currently focusing on their daughter even more after learning about her condition.

After tying the knot in 2012, HaHa and Byul have been blessed with three children in the past years. In 2013, they welcomed their first son, Dream, while their second son, Soul, arrived in 2017.

Their first daughter together, Song, was born in July 2019.

While the three had been healthy in the past years, the youngest sibling reportedly got diagnosed with a rare disease.

HaHa, Byul’s Daughter Diagnosed With a Rare Condition

On September 27, the singer took to Instagram to reveal the real reason why she had been out of the spotlight in the past weeks. It turned out that her and HaHa’s daughter, Song, had been stricken with Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Guillain-Barré Syndrome (or GBS) is a rare neurological disorder that affects a person’s immune system. Instead of helping one’s body, the system harms and damages the body’s nerves, resulting in weakness or paralysis.

“I’m updating you for the first time in a while. Song was sick. That’s why I couldn’t do anything for a while, including Instagram, [my YouTube channel] Byulbitube, and recording for my studio album…As this happened so suddenly to such a healthy child, the sick child, our family, and I all had a very hard time,” Byul said.

She added that the disease caused them to admit Song to a hospital. Fortunately, she recovered quickly and became well enough to get discharged from the facility.

Byul added that their daughter is getting better every day and apologized for not updating anyone about it. For the matriarch, she did not want to tell anyone about it as they did not know when she would feel better.

Byul Thanks Everyone For Support

Elsewhere in the post, she confirmed that the outpatient clinic said Song would no longer need to take medicine or undergo rehabilitation to recover.

As a mother, Byul sent her prayers and wishes to all the mothers like her who are taking care of their sick children.

Since she had been out for a little while now, the singer promised to return soon and greet everyone healthily.
