In case you missed it, there have been reports about a new Star Wars project that will focus on Grand Admiral Thrawn. In addition to that, Robert Downey Jr. is already being considered for the lead role. So what would the Avengers: Endgame star look like as the terrifying villain? A new fan art imagines Downey as Thrawn and it's a stunning yet fitting look for the actor.

The fan art was created by digital artist ultraraw26 and has been shared on Instagram. You can check it out below.

We're loving the idea of Downey taking on the role of Thrawn considering that he has already proven that he can play characters who are likable yet scary at the same time. In addition to that, his connection to The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau makes him the perfect actor to nab the part.

It's also important to note that Disney is well aware of how well Downey's previous projects have done so there is a huge possibility that he will be cast as Thrawn. However, the studios have not yet confirmed the casting, so it's best to take this with a grain of salt.

There have been speculations that the new series Star Wars: Ahsoka will focus on Ahsoka Tano's mission to find Thrawn, something that has already been teased in the second season of The Mandalorian. With that in mind, the villain is set to play a large role in the show, and it only makes sense that he should be played by a huge star.
