Rey Mysterio Dressed Up as Wolverine During All In

(WWE)

Rey Mysterio has done it again folks. The masked luchador has paid tribute to various heroes and villains from the comic book world, whether it be Marvel or DC. We've seen Rey dress up as Captain America, Heath Ledger's version of The Joker, The Flash, and even the Silver Surfer.

Most of that was in WWE but he decided to show off his Marvel love during the highly anticipated independent wrestling event All In, where he dressed up as a pitch-perfect 90's Wolverine during a six-man tag match where he partnered with Rey Fenix and Bandido to take on The Young Bucks and Kota Ibushi.

If you've read X-Men in the 90's or watch the animated series, you would have recognized the attire right away. Everything from the mask to the yellow spandex and even the blue trunks was clearly a callback to Wolverine and it was fantastic. Fans definitely ate it up.

With Mysterio expected to return to WWE soon, it will be interesting to see if he decided to dress up as another comic book character. There are literally hundreds of characters he can cosplay as while he wrestles and we can't wait to see who or what he decides to pay tribute to.

Mysterio isn't the only wrestler in the world who loves comic books or comic book movies. Finn Balor painted himself as Venom, Carnage, Spider-Man, The Joker, and so much more during his days in the independent scene as Prince Devitt. NXT Superstar Johnny Gargano also recently dressed as a mixture of Venom and Spider-Man during his title bout with former partner and bitter rival Tomasso Ciampa, which perfectly conveyed the emotions his character was going through.

All In can currently be streamed via the New Japan World service. Don't worry, there is an English option. The event also featured a match between Arrow star Stephen Amell and TNA legend Christopher Daniels.
