In Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 2 Episode 2, The Usual Girlfriend, Kazuya is back from college following the spring break and he still isn't taking his course seriously so he avoids talking about it, unlike others.

Later that day, he goes to his manager and asks for some tips on how to date a girl who is way beyond his league. He thought his manager can give him some good advice since he is married but what he got is a warning that an uphill battle is coming if Kazuya falls in love.

After work, Kazuya meets Chizuru for a date and they dine at a restaurant. They talk about their set-up in the rental business. Kazuya agrees to continue so he could help Chizuru fund her dreams of being an actress. In turn, he has to take Ruka to Chizuru's next act to show everyone that Ruka is his girlfriend.
