Reborn Rich actor Lee Sung Min does not want to do older man roles anymore.

Lee Sung Min has been open about the roles he played in the past years. For his Reborn Rich role, the actor revealed during the Jan. 25 episode of You Quiz on the Block that he felt worried when he had to play the character who was much older than he was.

Although his dramas are successful, he recently shared what he likes to do next in his career.

Lee Sung Min Wants To Play Different Characters Who Fit His Age

During a group media interview ahead of his upcoming movie, Devil's Deal, Lee Sung Min opened up about his character in the Disney+ crime drama series, Shadow Detective.

In the show, he plays the role of a veteran detective nearing retirement. However, he is falsely accused of murdering his colleague.

"In 'Shadow Detective,' I struggled with shooting a flashback scene 20 years ago. I had to raise the tone of my voice, set my posture straight and run faster," he said. "As I am in my mid-50s, I feel more comfortable when acting as characters in their 60s and 70s than those in their 30s and 40s."

Lee Sung Min said that he wants to have more light-hearted roles in his following projects. As he rises to fame even more, the actor said he now feels better about himself.

He also expressed his desire to finally focus on what he can do well in his next projects.

What To Expect From Lee Sung Min's Next Movie

In Devil's Deal, Lee Sung Min plays the role of Kwon Soon Tae. He is a mysterious man who pulls the strings of the local election scene in Busan in 1992.

According to the actor, the characters are rich and powerful in the movie. He, however, reminded everyone that he and Choi Jin Woong's Jeon Hae Woong should be viewed separately.

"Sun-tae is a kingmaker behind the scenes. I wonder if the world may be operating through such powerful people without our knowledge," Lee said. "To make him look mysterious, I did not try to connect with his own personal story or past."
