Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, joined the royal family during the Easter Sunday service. However, a body language expert noticed that the royal couple kept their distance from the royal family.
Princess Eugenie Keeping Distance From Royal Family?
On Sunday, the members of the royal family reunited to attend the annual Easter Sunday service. The pregnant princess arrived, walking hand in hand with Brooksbank into St. George's Chapel in Windsor. She sported a patterned mini dress, cream coat, navy headband and a pair of black heels.
Body language Judi James told Express.co.uk about Princess Beatrice's sister:
"Eugenie did seem to be struggling during her arrival at the Easter service yesterday, but was it her baby bump that was causing problems or something much more intricate in terms of family politics?"
She added:
"She is so often the one organizing and steering her own family group at formal events like this, but here she looked wary about mingling at all. As the first group stopped at the entrance we can see Eugenie grind to a rather deliberate halt in what looks like a bid to avoid joining them, while Jack turns in a way that blocks his wife from the waiting fans."
Some speculated that her actions were probably due to her loyalty to her cousin, Prince Harry, who is at odds with the members of the firm. However, James said it could also be due to her pregnancy.
"Jack’s rather protective body language suggests it was the pregnancy that might have prompted Eugenie to keep emphatically separate here if she was struggling or feeling uncomfortable."
Princess Eugenie Is Close To Prince Harry, Meghan Markle
Princess Eugenie and Prince Harry grew up together. They have forged a strong relationship as royal cousins.
Last year, she was spotted enjoying the Super Bowl with Prince Harry. Earlier this year, royal expert and biographer Duncan Larcombe claimed that she was "breaking ranks" to support the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Larcombe told OK!:
"The royals have stayed quite consistent and firm when it comes to Harry and Meghan, as we've seen. Eugenie is breaking ranks from the rest of the royals by being seen so publicly to endorse Harry and Meghan in their new life. It endorses what they said about the royals."
The expert added that no members of the royal family wanted to be seen near the Sussexes following their controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey. However, Princess Eugenie seemed not to feel the same way.
She has been spotted with Prince Harry multiple times in the past after the Oprah interview.
Larcombe said about Princess Eugenie and Harry's sighting at the Super Bowl 2022:
"There are those that think that Eugenie is Harry's only hope of him being brought back in should things not work out in paradise, so at least he is talking to someone in the Royal Family. By seeing Eugenie there, it looks like the only link he still has with his family."
