Princess Diana was adored by many. In fact, she earned the title of People’s Princess because millions of royal fans across the globe fell in love with her. In the books and documentaries, Prince William and Prince Harry’s late mother was described in the most positive way. But this doesn’t mean that she didn’t have any detractors.

Ghislaine Maxwell Hated Princess Diana

According to reports, one of the people that hated Princess Diana was a good friend of Prince Andrew’s. Maria Farmer previously accused Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell of sexually abusing her in the 90s. And Farmer was also the one that detailed the conversations she had with Maxwell.

While speaking with The Sun (via Express), Farmer said that Maxwell told her on one occasion that she made Princess Diana cry. Ghislaine also, reportedly, bullied the Princess of Wales every chance she got.

“Ghislaine’s like: ‘Look, there we made her [Diana] cry, isn’t that funny? We hated Diana.’ That’s what she said. I was like: ‘Oh my god, that’s horrible.’ They were very mean to her, like abusive, but they thought it was really funny. Very, very sick,” Farmer said.

Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein Allegedly Had Ties To Princess Diana

Maxwell never confirmed or denied the allegations because she’s currently in prison for her involvement in the alleged sex trafficking incidents from several decades ago. It is also unclear how and when Maxwell and Princess Diana crossed paths, but the former was a socialite who used to be close to Prince Andrew.

In the book Too Famous, journalist Michael Wolff claimed that Epstein once told him that he escorted Princess Diana on occasion. But Newsweek pointed out that Epstein’s accounts may not be accurate because they contradicted Prince Andrew’s claims that he only met Epstein in 1999 through Maxwell.

If Prince Andrew’s accounts were true then it means Epstein didn’t escort Princess Diana on occasion because she passed away in 1997 following a car crash in Paris.

In her court deposition, Maxwell also denied Epstein’s claims that he escorted Princess Diana. She said that she didn’t introduce the two. As such, it’s also unclear if Farmer’s claims are accurate or were made up.

Princess Diana Bullied By The British Press

But what’s potentially true is that Princess Diana was, indeed, bullied by some people when she was still alive. She was also accused of firing some members of the palace staff without good reason.

“Diana, too, had been blamed for a series of departures, from Prince Charles’s valet, bodyguard, and private secretary to friends and members of his social circle. In a matter of months, Diana had gone from being a fairytale princess to – according to less charitable accounts – a ‘fiend’ and a ‘little monster’. Other commentators talked about ‘Malice in the Palace,” royal biographer Andrew Morton said (via Daily Mail).

At one point, the Princess of Wales got sick of the accusations that she commented on it while at a royal engagement. She told the attendees that she wasn’t responsible for the sackings because it was not her personality to do so.
