Prince Harry said he was concerned about Prince William's children — Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, — because he knew how difficult it was to live the life of a spare. However, a report claimed that Princess Charlotte, who is Prince George's spare, is far from living a life similar to her uncle, who is now living in California.

Princess Charlotte Has An Easier Life As Spare Than Prince Harry?

According to CheatSheet, the public interest in Princess Charlotte's life as a spare is very different from that of Prince Harry's. The curiosity about Prince William's life came naturally as the heir to the throne.

However, the death of their mom Princess Diana put them into the limelight earlier than unexpected. The outlet noted that Princess Charlotte's circumstance is very different because her parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, still hold much of the family's public interest.

Although she's already considered a high net-worth fashion icon, she still has a more normal childhood compared to her dad and uncle.

Daily Mail editor Richard Eden also claimed she was raised to pursue a career outside the firm. She was reportedly trained to consider a life outside the monarchy.

Eden said, per Daily Mail:

"From what I hear, the Prince and Princess of Wales want Charlotte … to grow up with the expectation that she will get a job and not be a full-time royal."

Eden pointed out that the Prince and Princess of Wales' daughter has more room to pursue other interests aside from royal engagements.

Princess Charlotte Is Reportedly Set To Receive One Of The Grandest Royal Titles

British journalist and royal correspondent Robert Jobson claimed in his new book Our King: Charles III: The Man and the Monarch Revealed, which hits shelves this week, that the 7-year-old princess will be the next Duchess of Edinburgh.

The title was previously held by Prince Philip and passed down to his and Queen Elizabeth's youngest child, Prince Edward. Being Prince George's spare, King Charles reportedly wanted to ensure Princess Charlotte's position in the institution.

Jobson wrote, per GB News:

"Sensitive to the fact that nine-year-old Prince George's future is already mapped out, Charles has been careful to reserve one of the grandest titles for Princess Charlotte – currently called Lottie by her mother and Mignonette (French for cute little thing) by her father."

He added:

"Although the King has made his brother Edward the new Duke of Edinburgh, the title is only for life. After Edward dies, Charles has made it clear Charlotte (now aged seven) should become Duchess of Edinburgh."
