Prince William and Kate Middleton just concluded their controversial tour to the Caribbean region last weekend. To recall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were met with protests and issues prior to their arrival in Belize, which forced them to cancel one royal engagement.

Though they received warm welcomes from many locals, Prince William and Kate Middleton also faced mounting tensions in Belize, Jamaica, and The Bahamas where Queen Elizabeth remains head of state. The brother of Prince Harry, during their Jamaican tour, also expressed his deep "sorrow" for the horrors of the slave trade and the role that the U.K. played in it.

Among the highlights of the Cambridge couple's Caribbean tour was their visit to the Abaco Islands to see the devastation brought by Hurricane Dorian in 2019. Daily Mail royal editor Rebecca English shared a clip of Prince William and Kate Middleton sampling local delights. She commented:

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited a fish fry today with Kate trying local delicacy ‘conch pistol’ – said to have the same effect as viagra."

Rebecca English then claimed:

"I’m a little bit more adventurous than William is."

The royal editor then followed up her post with:

"Can’t quite believe I am writing this…. But here goes! Kate held up the strip of flesh, which comes from the inside of the conch and is commonly said to be the conch’s male genitalia, before putting it in her mouth to applause from the crowds."

Prince William and Kate Middleton were visiting a fishing fry when they were offered a taste of the so-called "conch pistol." The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also sampled a conch salad and fritters.

The father of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis also drank a "Gullywash," which is a coconut juice mixed with condensed milk. Showing his approval, Prince William laughed and stated:

"You guys talk amongst yourself I’m staying here."

Kate Middleton stepped up to prepare a dish for herself. The Duchess of Cambridge moved behind the counter at the Fish Frey in Dundas Town, Abaco as a stall owner watched her make progress and even joked, saying: "I'm not as fast as you!"

Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in the northern Bahamian Abaco islands on Saturday, March 26, to meet local residents. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also heard testimonies about the rebuilding of the community following the catastrophic hurricane in 2019.

Prince William And Kate Middleton Attend Prince Philip's Memorial With George And Charlotte

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton made quite an entrance with Prince George and Princess Charlotte at the memorial service of Prince Philip at the Westminster Abbey in London on Tuesday, March 29. The Cambridges entered the ceremony to celebrate the life and service of Queen Elizabeth's late husband.

It was reported that Prince William and Kate Middleton were among the last members of the royal family to arrive at the Abbey for the service. The brother of Prince Harry chose a classic suit for the event while his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, sported a black-and-white polka-dotted classic dress that she paired with black stilettos and a chic hat to complete her look.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte followed in behind Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles. Queen Elizabeth, for her part, was the last to make an entrance at the Abbey.
