Prince William And Kate Middleton Will Reportedly Make The Most Out Of Their US Tour

According to royal editor Roya Nikkhah, Prince William and Kate Middleton will use their tour as an opportunity to build relations overseas and to improve the monarchy’s standing across the Atlantic.

Nikkhah also said that the royal family, with the help of the Prince and Princess of Wales, still needs to win back the US hearts following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey last year.

More specifically, Prince William and Middleton can use their tour to help elevate the monarchy above entertainment news.

As of writing, the royal couple’s official tour schedule hasn’t been released yet. But royal commentator Robert Jobson thinks it’s possible for Prince William and Middleton to change the format of next month’s tour.

“I have been covering royal tours for more than 30 years. In that time the format has rarely changed. Even those undertaken by Princess Diana, the woman who is supposed to have changed the monarchy, followed a set pattern of formal dinners, speeches, walkabouts, hospital and school visits, and glad-handing politicians, some had murky pasts. The overseas visits are not organized by the royals themselves, although they have some input, largely at the behest of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, or in the case of Realms, by the host country themselves,” he told Mirror UK.

“If they insist – or at least strongly desire - the royal principal riding in a vintage Land rover at a passing out parade once used by the Queen in bygone colonial times, as happened to William and Kate, nine times out of ten it will happen,” he said.

Will Prince William And Kate Middleton Reunite With Prince Harry And Meghan Markle In The US?

As of late, there’s also no confirmation as to whether Prince William and Middleton will reunite with Prince Harry and Markle while they are in the US. During their tour, the Sussexes will also be in New York to accept a prestigious award.

While speaking with Express, royal expert Neil Sean said that it’s unlikely for the couples to reunite because Prince William and Middleton’s schedule will be packed.

“They’re planning a packed schedule with no private time for visits. This all centers upon the fact that William is finding it very hard to move on from all those allegations that Harry put out about him and his family via Oprah,” he said.
