It is widely known that Princess Diana is Prince Harry's mom. In fact, she has been a constant presence in the Duke of Sussex's talks and interviews, especially in his memoir, Spare.

More than 25 years after the People Princess' demise, know more about their relationship and what Prince Harry said about his mother.

Princess Diana and Prince Harry's Relationship

Princess Diana was 23 years old when she gave birth to Prince Harry on September 15, 1984. However, he was about to turn 13 years old when she tragically died in a car accident on August 31, 1997.

When she was still alive, royal commentator Charles Rae revealed Princess Diana dubbed her youngest son "Good King Harry," thinking he "would have been better equipped for the role" of a future king.

Prince Harry's Response to the Death of Princess Diana

In an interview with Anderson Cooper for 60 Minutes to promote Spare, he said he didn't believe Princess Diana was already dead.

"For a long time, I just refused to accept that she was— she was gone," Meghan Markle's husband said, via CBS News. "Part of, you know, she would never do this to us, but also part of, maybe this is all part of a plan."

"You really believed that maybe she had just decided to disappear for a time?" Cooper asked.

"For a time, and then that she would call us and that we would go and join her, yeah," Prince Harry continued.

"How long did you believe that?" Cooper asked again.
