Prince Harry currently lives in the U.S. alongside his wife, Meghan Markle, and kids, Archie and Lilibet, following his shocking royal exit in January 2020. At the time, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stated they wanted to become financially independent from the Firm.

Not only that because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also claimed the ceaseless attacks of the British media against them are among the primary reasons why they decided to step back from their senior royal roles. During their interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, the Sussex couple revealed that the ongoing “racism” behind the palace doors also pushed them to ditch the royal life.

Now, a royal expert suggested that Prince Harry is using his security concerns in the U.K. as “an excuse” to avoid returning to his homeland. Keep on reading to know more details.

Is Prince Harry Using Security Issues As An Excuse?

Royal biographer Tom Bower claimed that Prince Harry is using concerns over his security as “an excuse” to avoid returning to the U.K. He added that the husband of Meghan Markle knows that it is likely to be difficult to maintain friendly relations with the royal family after the release of his upcoming memoir.

The imminent book of Prince Harry is rumored to discuss his and Prince William’s “frosty relationship” with Camila Parker-Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall. Random House would publish the said book, with rights costing around $20 million, that is set to hit the shelf in autumn 2022.

Tom Bower shared Prince Harry would likely miss the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth in June. Speaking to Closer Magazine, the royal expert stated:

“I think Harry won’t come back because he knows he cannot face his family, and be pleasant with them, knowing what he’s written about them in that book. That book will have a lot of casualties and cause a lot of hurt. It will really deliver, as Harry knows it has to, to justify the money he’s been paid to do it. How can Harry come back and pretend it’s all fine? The worst of what he will say is yet to come.”

Prince Harry is rumored to have “reached out” to Prince Charles to have “friendly video calls” with him ahead of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations this summer. However, insiders close to the matter revealed to MailOnline that the no-hold-barred book of Meghan Markle’s husband would divulge his true feelings towards his step-mother, Camilla, and is very much likely to “shake the monarchy to its core.”

Previous reports claimed that the decision of Prince Harry to secretly collaborate with Pulitzer-winning ghostwriter JR Moehringer left the royal family members deeply concerned about what his publishers described as “the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses and life lessons that have helped shape him.”

The shocking announcement of Prince Harry that he is working on his untitled book for more than a year now allegedly completely blindsided Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Prince William. The royal family has yet to confirm this claim.

Prince Harry And Prince William Have A Chance To Heal Feud?

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Prince William are reportedly set to have an opportunity to put their rift aside and go back to normal. The claim came amid reports that the Duke of Sussex is set to return to the U.K. to attend the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth in June.

During his possible stay in Britain, Prince Harry may heal his rift with Prince William for the time being. However, it seems hard for the royal brothers to bury the hatchet for good.

Most, if not all, royal fans are aware that the rift between Prince Harry and Prince William deepened when the Duke of Cambridge tried to stop his younger brother from rushing into marrying Meghan Markle. The husband of Kate Middleton allegedly recruited the brother of the late Princess Diana for help.

Royal biographer Robert Lacey, in his book, claimed that Prince William felt Prince Harry was moving “too fast” with his new love and tried to stop him from rushing into marrying the former Suits star. Some royal commentators even said that Meghan Markle drove a wedge between the royal brothers.

Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told the Mirror:

"Sadly, I think the only way that things would go back to normal is if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were to separate and Prince Harry returned to the UK solo."

Russell Myers and Ian Vogler have also spoken about Prince William and Prince Harry’s potential return on an episode of Pod Save The Queen, claiming that the younger son of Prince Charles is “sure” to return to the U.K. to attend the revelries for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl recently told BirminghamMail that Prince Harry and Prince William would be “required” to appear alongside one another.

Though there is a huge possibility for the Duke of Sussex to join the upcoming celebrations of Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee in June, it remains unclear if Prince Harry would really return to the U.K. within his year. So, these claims should be taken with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.
