Prince Harry’s memoir Spare just got an official release date: Jan. 10. Now, there are reports claiming that the Duke of Sussex could set foot in the United Kingdom after the New Year so that he could promote his book.
Prince Harry’s Promotional Book Tour For Spare Could Include The UK?
According to Mirror UK, nothing has been finalized yet with regard to Prince Harry’s promotional tour for Spare. But it is possible for the dad of two to include the UK in his tour schedule.
But even if the reports will be deemed accurate, the publication stressed that Prince Harry wouldn’t have a huge publicity drive for Spare because he and his wife, Meghan Markle are still technically members of the royal family.
Prince Harry’s Memoir Title An Attack On The Royal Family?
A source also claimed that Prince Harry did not write his memoir to attack the royal family. Instead, he wrote it for himself since he could not keep trying to make his family happy.
As of writing, Prince Harry has not shared snippets from his memoir. But one source claimed that it would most likely be nuclear.
“The very title demonstrates yet another confrontational attack on the family after claiming a desire for privacy. Palace lawyers will undoubtedly be on standby in the New Year waiting to see what is in it. If Harry’s previous allegations across numerous TV interviews are anything to go by, this will be nuclear. Regardless of the content, which will no doubt be explosive, there will be little chance of this acting as a vehicle to reconciliation for Harry and Meghan,” the source said (via Mirror UK).
Prince Harry Allegedly Asked His Ex-Girlfriends And Friends To Contribute To Spare
Meanwhile, another source told The Sun that Prince Harry asked some of his friends and ex-girlfriends to contribute to his memoir, but they politely declined.
“Harry did reach out. Friends and girlfriends were polite and said they would think about it but ultimately most said No. It was felt to be kind of ironic that Harry would hit the roof if he ever had an inkling they spoke to the media, but now he wants them to when he needs their help,” the source said.
The same publication also claimed that Prince Harry had to revisit his memoir multiple times. And he and his ghostwriter, JR Moehringer, and his publishers went back and forth on it.
“They wanted more than was in the first draft, and then Harry wanted to refine things after the Queen passed away. But there has been extra toing and froing that people don’t know about. This is because the publishers wanted more areas covered and more detail on some things that were already included. There is a real concern that that means Harry has had to sex up the book and include revelations that even he might not even be that comfortable with,” the source said (via 7news.com.au).
