Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were no-shows at the royal family’s Christmas church service this week. But according to a royal author, their absence wasn’t necessarily felt because the other members of the royal family attended the gathering.
Journalist Claims Fab Four Has Been Replaced By Magnificent Seven Following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Exit?
In her column for Daily Mail, journalist Sarah Vine also claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s former group with Prince William and Kate Middleton, known as the Fab Four, has been replaced by the so-called Magnificent Seven.
“Harry and Meghan were, of course, conspicuous by their absence, having spent the past few weeks lobbying lumps of dirt across the Atlantic in increasingly desperate attempts to win fans and shame the royals back home. But it mattered not a jot that they weren’t there. In fact, if I’m honest, it was a relief not to see Harry’s scowling face and Meghan’s pained smile. And besides, who needs the Fab Four when you can have the Magnificent Seven: three united generations of royals who genuinely seem to enjoy their roles and appreciate the place they hold in the nation’s hearts?” she wrote.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Criticisms Of The Royal Family Brought Them Closer?
Vine also said that despite everything that’s happened to the royal family in the last couple of months, it’s obvious that they are closer than ever. And even though Prince Harry and Markle tried to take them down, they still managed to rise above the Sussexes’ criticisms.
“They have been steadfast in their patience, fortitude, and general dignity in the face of the most appalling accusations. Whereas some families in their situation might have torn each other apart, somehow events — not just Meghan and Harry, of course, but also losing our beloved Queen, the head of the family — have only brought them closer. This is a united front that looks entirely genuine,” Vine wrote.
Meanwhile, the author couldn’t help but wonder if Prince Harry woke up on Christmas morning with feelings of regret because he was away from the royal family.
“Part of him might have felt sad, too, that his own two children couldn’t be there, playing alongside their cousins,” she wrote.
King Charles Walked Beside Zara Tindall During Christmas Church Service?
Back to the royal family’s Christmas church service, Vine also questioned the royal protocol that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex complained about in Harry & Meghan. After all, King Charles was spotted walking alongside Zara Tindall.
Princess Beatrice’s stepson, Wolfie, also joined the royal family during their Christmas walkabout for the first time ever.
