Prince Harry is releasing his book early next year. However, many are concerned about its content. A royal expert warned the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that a lot of things are at stake, not just their royal titles, depending on the content of his memoir, Spare.
King Charles Could Cast Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Into The Wilderness?
Nile Gardiner, a foreign policy expert and a royal enthusiast, shared his thoughts about Prince Harry's upcoming memoir. In his opinion, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could lose their royal titles and more.
"Harry and Meghan will be cast into wilderness and lose royal titles if this is an all-out onslaught against the Royal Family," Gardiner told Express.
According to him, based on the title, Prince Harry's book "will likely not be one that will be full of hope and aspiration. Rather it will a book filled with a lot of rage and the title is a reflection of that anger."
Due to the "resentful tone" of the book, Gardiner believed that it would do a "great deal of damage to the royal family." But offending the members of the firm could backfire on them.
He warned that it could be "the publishing equivalent of a grenade being thrown into Buckingham Palace," which is damaging to the monarchy, and the impact on Prince Harry and Markle could be "catastrophic."
"Buckingham Palace will be very concerned and there will be a lot of nervousness. It will be a massive bridge burner with the Royal Family and serves no real constructive purpose," he added.
King Charles Will Not Allow Prince Harry And Meghan Markle To Ruin The Institution?
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a strained relationship with the royal family. There are fears that Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, will worsen their relationship.
Anonymous sources told Radar Online that the king "has gone into severe crisis-management mode" due to Prince Harry's book. He reportedly knew that his son "holds the key to a closet full of dark secrets," and he didn't want those things out, so he reportedly gave Prince Harry an ultimatum.
"The king has issued a firm warning to Harry that if he rats him out in any way in the book, Harry's whole family will be stripped of their titles. And he'll be cut off from royal life for good! There have been last-minute additions about the Queen's legacy, and he's also toned down some parts about Charles," the insiders said.
However, royal correspondent and Finding Freedom co-author Omid Scobie denied the speculations that Prince Harry's book would be damaging to the royal family.
"For all the tabloid reports about Harry supposedly 'trashing' his family (spoiler alert: he doesn't), the book actually offers a more sympathetic look at the realities of their near-impossible existence. There were also no last-minute rewrites or edits after the Queen's death. SPARE's manuscript was completed almost five months before the monarch's passing, a detail that will be acknowledged in a note at the start of the book," the royal executive editor at Yahoo! News wrote.
