Prince Harry recently returned to the United Kingdom to attend Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee. He was joined by his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, during the trip. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex weren’t able to spend time with the royal family during their return. After all, they were seated away from everyone since they are no longer working as senior royals.

Prince Harry Felt More Homesick After Setting Foot In The United Kingdom Again

But even if this is the case, royal expert Neil Sean claimed that Prince Harry’s recent trip to the United Kingdom made him miss his life back home even more.

“Not everything is looking rosy for Harry. We last saw Prince Harry over here for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. In my view, I've never seen Harry looking happy since he left the monarchy. In recent weeks, we have seen Prince Harry undertake the polo season in California, which is something he always did enjoy in the UK. According to a source, Harry is now incredibly homesick,” Sean said (via Express).

Prince Harry Regrets His Decision To Quit The Firm In 2020

A source close to the Duke of Sussex also said that Prince Harry is feeling bouts of homesickness and regret following his decision to quit The Firm two years ago.

“A very good source who knows Harry well claims he is half-in-and-out about it. Coming back over for the Jubilee reignited feelings about his former life that he knew, particularly all the pomp and circumstance of a royal event. But he also felt distanced from people in the UK. Upon his return to California, it's not the life that he first thought he enjoyed. He is trying to get busy, with his book, and Spotify, and Netflix,” Sean said.

The royal expert added that the dad of two is struggling because his wife is content with living in the United States. And the Duchess of Sussex doesn’t also have plans to return to the UK, especially after what happened during the Platinum Jubilee. As such, Prince Harry couldn’t help but feel torn.

Prince Harry Has Been Playing Polo Because It Reminds Him Of Home

Sean isn’t the only royal insider who said that Prince Harry is feeling homesick in America. Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe claimed that the Duke of Sussex has been playing polo with his friends because this is one of the things that he enjoyed doing while he was still in England.

“Meghan is cheering him on, on the sidelines, helping create this perfect LA life for him to justify what he’s given up in the UK,” he told Closer UK.

However, it is important to note that Prince Harry has never said anything about being homesick. During his interviews, he made it clear that his current home is in the United States. But only time will tell whether he and his entire family would relocate elsewhere in the coming years.
