Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem like a match made in heaven. After being introduced to each other by their common friend, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex immediately hit it off. And after one meal together, they both wanted to figure out a way to see each other more frequently.
Prince Harry Was Already Seeing Sarah Ann Jacklin When He Went Out On A Date With Meghan Markle
But what royal fans might not know was that when Prince Harry was getting to know Meghan Markle, he was already having a fling with Burberry model Sarah Ann Jacklin. Obviously, their relationship did not progress into anything serious because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex ended up together.
In the book Harry: Conversations With the Prince, royal biographer Angela Levin revealed that Prince Harry and Jacklin were quite similar.
“They met at a private party, he took her number and bombarded her with texts. But it turned out to be just a fling. A friend said: ‘They got on but are quite different. She is very clean-living and barely drinks, and in that respect, they were on a different wavelength. Harry was a bit noncommittal,’” she said (via Cheat Sheet).
Meghan Markle Still Share A Home With Cory Vitiello When She Dated Prince Harry In London
Levin also pointed out that there were some speculations as to whether Markle was also single when she met up with Prince Harry for the first time. After all, she dated Cory Vitiello for two years before she dated her husband.
In the book Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors, royal author Tom Bower claimed that Markle and Vitiello still shared a home together when her friend set her up on a blind date with Prince Harry.
“Harry secretly flew to Toronto. He stayed for about one week in the house of a friend of Meghan’s, probably Jessica Mulroney. With Cory still sharing [Meghan’s] home, the situation for Meghan was tricky but manageable. At the end of the week, after he returned to London, Meghan was convinced that her spell was cast and the relationship with Harry would be sealed. She told Cory that their affair was over,” he wrote (via Page Six).
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Dated Several People Before Their Paths Crossed
According to Bower, Vitiello was seemingly relieved when Markle ended their relationship because the final months had been unpleasant.
Prior to Vitiello, Markle was married to Trevor Engelson. Prince Harry, on the other hand, also had a string of relationships with Chelsy Davy, Cressida Bonas, and more.
