Pom Klementieff Teases DCU Transfer Under Mystery Role

James Gunn wasn’t kidding when he said that he wanted to bring the Guardians cast with him when he took the post as co-CEO of DC Studios. Pom Klementieff joined Karen Gillan in hinting she would be seen in the DCU next.

While talking to Variety, Klementieff confirmed that the dialogue is ongoing about her joining the DC world and the secret character that she would assume if ever the negotiations went well between her and the new management.

“I’m not gonna tell you guys, but we’ve had conversations and we’re like making plans already. But nothing is confirmed yet,” she said. “There would be one specific character but I can’t tell you now.”

When asked how far along is the discussion of her jumping to DC, the actress replied: “I don’t know. It’s hmm you know, in progress… Like a video game when you see a dot dot dot. This is what’s happening right now.”

Klementieff also answered the host’s question about whether the mystery role is a character that she has always been a fan of. “I mean, I knew about the character. I thought the character was fucking cool. Am I supposed to, can I say fucking? I’m French, I don’t care.” she remarked.

The Oldboy star also mentioned how Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord will be dropping the F-word for the first time in MCU history through Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and how cool she finds that. “He says the word and it hasn't been done before,” said Klementieff.

So far, it’s beginning to look like Gunn is building a DCU version of the Guardians, as Pratt is also open to playing any character, and Dave Bautista expressed an interest in working with the filmmaker again after he retired from Marvel.

The Guardians cast wouldn't be the first to join Gunn in his new home, as other MCU stars, like Frank Grillo, officially joined the team. But the GotG team in the DCU is probably the most exciting to look forward to.

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is Gunn's final contribution to the MCU. He also confirmed last year that it would be the last time that the current roster of heroes would appear on screen together.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 premieres in worldwide cinemas on May 5.
