Pokemon Sun and Moon May Land on a New Nintendo 2DS


The Pokemon Company has confirmed that it will be releasing a Nintendo 2DS that has been inspired by the upcoming Pokemon Sun and Moon game.

As per the company (translated by DualShockers), the new Nintendo 2DS is slated for fans who are looking to get either copy of the game and play it on a Nintendo 2DS. There's already an image of the art box and the actual console.

The Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon-inspired console showcases the iconic Pikachu at the front, and the trio of starters, Rowlet, Popplio, and Litten at the back, which is a nice touch.

According to the report, the device is slated for Japan and will not have copy of the game. Also, there is no release date yet outside of Japan.

However, there's already a preorder page for the new Nintendo 2DS for the Pokemon Moon and Pokemon Sun up on EB Games. The release date listed here is for Dec. 1, with a preorder price of AU$169 (approx. $130).

Interestingly, the page has also released the announcement that this particular bundle already has either the Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon pre-installed in the device.

Just recently, The Pokemon Company has released a new video showing off the evolved versions of the starter ‘mons. The clip also showcased some new isles and venues in the game where players and their Pokemon can explore and find more things to do.

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon will be out on Nov. 18.
