Pokemon Sun and Moon New Clip Shows Starter Evolutions & New Features

The Pokemon Company has released a new clip for Pokemon Sun and Moon, and this time, it features the evolved forms of the three starters.

Seen below, the gameplay footage also features a sneak peek into their abilities when facing off against other opponents. Rowlet evolves into Dartrix, the Grass/Flying owl Pokemon with the Overgrow ability.

It sheds the pink character design to replace it with a white, brown, and green look—while retaining that adorkable bow. Dartrix also has a more fashionable hairdo now. Just look at that little hair flip before the attack.

Litten evolves into Torracat. Compared to Dartrix, its design doesn't fall to far from the starter look. However, instead of looking a like a cool disinterested Litten, Torracat looks like it's ready to fight. Torracat is a Fire Pokemon with the Blaze ability, wherein it fires off a fierce flame from its bell.

Popplio evolves into Brionne, the Water Type Pokemon with the Torrent Ability. She looks adorable wearing that dress-like waves, which matches that pigtail hairdo. Fans can also see all three enjoying some time with the Pokemon Refresh feature.

The video also shows the Festival Plaza, which looks like half a medieval setting and half amusement park. It's supposed to be a secret place where you can "come to play using communication features."

At the Festival Plaza, players can earn Festival Coins by fulfilling other players' requests. These Festival Coins can then be used in different shops to purchase services that can help power up your ‘mon or even give some cool items.

The video also introduced the Poke Pelago, said to be the paradise for Pokemon that have been deposited in PC boxes. Finally, there are three different Isles introduced. Isle Abeens will let players attract Wild Pokemon that can join one's game. Isle Aphun allows Pokemon to search for valuable items. Isle Evelup lets Pokemon train.

There's certainly a lot happening to Pokemon Sun and Moon. But it seems that this isn't the end of the reveals. According to trusted Pokemon source Serebii, the next round of reveals will happen on Oct. 14.

Pokemon Sun and Moon will be out on Nov. 18 on the Nintendo 3DS.
