Pokemon Sun and Moon Live-Action Trailer Shows Practice Makes a Perfect Win in Real Life

Pokemon Go may be getting all the attention as far as real-life Pokemon gaming goes. But the other anticipated title for this year, Pokemon Sun and Moon, is not about to be left behind.

Nintendo has released a new trailer via the Pokemon YouTube channel, and it’s a live-action ad this time. The trailer shows a boy who is visiting his relatives and facing off with what appears to be his cousins in a Pokemon fight.

On the first play, he loses—amid a round of laughter, may I add—so of course, he vows to conquer his weakness and beat his cousins in the next round. What follows is a sequence of gameplay footage, and glimpses of the three starters. And him winning with a big “Yosha!

It’s a great way to showcase the new Battle Arena feature for Pokemon Sun and Moon. The Pokemon Company previously revealed that one innovation for the game involves letting up to four people battle it out in a special arena.

Not to mention, if you want to be inspired to conquer your own weakness, you can do the same things he did—zipline, anyone? Maybe you’ll get better at it, too.

Pokemon Sun and Moon will launch in Japan and North America first on Nov. 17. The European launch will be roughly a week later on Nov. 23.
