Pokemon Go Update 1.01 is Live Alongside Germany Launch

Pokemon Go players on iOS devices can now get the first update for the game. Developer Niantic Labs has released Update 1.01, which is basically a stability update to improve the game's performance.

Over at the official iTunes page, there are four listed fixes in the Pokemon Go update 1.01:

> Trainers do not have to enter their username and password repeatedly after a force log out
> Added stability to Pokémon Trainer Club account log-in process
> Resolved issues causing crashes
> Fixed Google account scope

The first update is a good fix for those who are getting impatient with force log-outs. But more importantly, it seems that iOS players need not worry about a previously reported issue involving their Google accounts.

Niantic Labs promised to deliver a fix that would limit the amount of information asked by the app, and it has finally delivered. And pretty fast, too, considering the number of server issues that the developer probably faced during the first few days Pokemon Go went live.

Android users may need to wait a little more since an update is not yet listed over at the Google Play Store. There is some good news, however, particularly for those who are in Germany. According to The Verge, Pokemon Go will be arriving in Germany for both the iOS and Android devices.

This was also announced via the official Pokemon Go updates website:

"We are excited to announce that Pokémon GO is officially available to Trainers in Germany."

While this makes the European launch a little more tangible, hopefully it also means other countries will be getting the game. I'm one of those who keep on checking the Google Play Store—only to find several dozens of guides and how-to's of the game instead.
