Pokemon Sun and Moon is Ready for Launch with 10M Initial Copies

Nintendo's hype for Pokemon Sun and Moon seems far from unprecedented. As though the hype wasn't enough, the developer has already reportedly readied 10 million copies of the game for shipping.

The Pokemon Company and Nintendo are already readying the world for the imminent release, as Anime News Network reported that this number is expected to be the most number of copies shippsed for the franchise so far for initial shipment.

It does translate to earlier reports of Pokemon Sun and Moon being the two best pre-selling titles in the history of Nintendo. It was also dubbed to have the most number of downloaded demos in the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

However, sadly, this doesn't mean that the Pokemon Sun and Moon isn't experiencing its share of flak. Even before the games have reached American shores, there are already leaks left and right—and this doesn't even count the earlier leak of the full Pokedex and text for the game.

Kotaku reported that a lot of fans have already pirated the game before it has even launched. Naturally, the hammer ban from Nintendo has been brought down, and it slammed a lot of pirates pretty hard.

Already, fans are seeing that no matter what kind of round-about solution they try to find, once they are banned due to the pirated copy of Pokemon Sun and Moon, it means that they also can't access the general eShop, purchase games, or redownload titles that they already own.

This means that encountering Error Code 002-0102 will means you might need to buy yourself another Nintendo 3DS to access online services.

The source has already received a statement from Nintendo regarding this:

"As a result of a number of Nintendo 3DS users using unauthorized versions of several games, and connecting to the official game servers in violation of our terms of service, these users' Nintendo 3Ds systems that stored the unauthorized game code have been banned from Nintendo's online network effective immediately."

It looks like a lot of gamers will be crying once the legit players actually start playing Pokemon Sun and Moon once it releases in North America on 18 and Europe on Nov. 23.
