Percy Jackson Actor Logan Lerman Reacts to Rick Riordan's New Disney+ Series

There is little doubt that people are excited about the upcoming Percy Jackson live-action series that will air on Disney+. After all, fans have been waiting for an update on the franchise after plans to continue adapting Rick Riordan's works for a very long time. But how does the cast of the movie adaptations feel about the new show? Not surprisingly, Logan Lerman has a very relatable reaction to the announcement.

Lerman took to his official Twitter account to celebrate Riordan's announcement. Take a look at his tweet below.

"Excited to see this! Hope it gets the adaptation the books deserve. Congrats @rickriordan," Lerman wrote.

We're not exactly surprised that Lerman reacted the way he did. After all, everyone had high hopes for the Percy Jackson films but only two movies were made in the past. Lerman, who portrayed the titular character, may have been hoping to do more projects but it never truly came through.

Riordan shared the good news on Twitter through a video with his wife Becky. He also confirmed that he and Becky "will be involved in person in every aspect of the show." Needless to say, we can't wait to find out more about the upcoming series.

The Percy Jackson series will follow the storyline of Riordan's five-book series. This means that the first season of the show will adapt The Lightning Thief. For now, there haven't been any casting news. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
