Pedro Pascal’s Rumored The Mandalorian Exit Debunked; Actor Supposedly Appearing in Season 3 Finale

The Mandalorian Season 3 took a complete turn by diverting its focus from Din Djarin and Grogu to Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan Kryze.

Not only has Bo-Katan managed to acquire the Darksaber in her hands, but the series has also found its way to detach from the original protagonist, making way for the new hailer over the next seasons.

This, in turn, left fans fuming, considering that Pedro Pascal had been reportedly having trouble behind-the-scenes, one of them suggesting that The Mandalorian star is close to exiting from the series.

While it remains to be seen if Pascal is actually leaving Star Wars, The Mandalorian Season 3 sure feels like it.

In the midst of that, a report from industry insider Jeff Sneider revealed on The Hot Mic podcast that Pedro Pascal was initially supposed to take off his helmet and reveal his face once more in the Season 3 finale.

“Regarding The Mandalorian and Pedro Pascal… I’m told that Pedro Pascal’s [face] not being in The Mandalorian was a scheduling thing…” Sneider said.

“He wasn’t seen in The Mandalorian finale. That was simply a matter of scheduling with The Last of Us,” Sneider added, “which is in first position for him. He was on set for a couple of episodes this past season.”

Considering that many Mando fans have been completely unsatisfied with the lack of appearance from Pascal’s Djarin, this springs good news that perhaps the actor is not be exiting the series, after all.

HBO’s The Last of Us Season 1 started filming in July 2021 up to June 2022, whereas The Mandalorian Season 3’s filming began in October 2021 up to late March 2022.

Scheduling conflicts are common when you’re in demand in Hollywood, and Pascal is no exception.

In his case, he brought excellence in reprising his Star Wars role, all the while portraying Joel Miller in the Naughty Dog video game’s live adaptation.

It is possible that The Mandalorian Season 4 will seek to bring the actor back on track, especially seeing as The Last of Us Season 2 won’t have many scenes involved with him.

All three seasons of The Mandalorian are now streaming on Disney+.
