Katee Sackhoff Declares She’s Ready To Lead The Mandalorian Season 3

The Mandalorian Season 3 continues to receive divisive reactions from fans as Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin and Grogu get sidelined on their own show, and now, amid reports of the Mando star exiting due to creative differences on the series, Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze) declares she’s ready to steer the wheel this third season.

“[Bo-Katan] did win [the Darksaber] fairly! Listen, I think what’s amazing about the way that she did win it was that she didn’t even realize that she had.” Sackhoff said in a recent interview with Screen Rant, “Because it’s not in the forefront of her mind anymore.”

Sackhoff continued on to list why she thinks her character is ready to lead the series, “[Bo-Katan] got to a point where she didn’t want it anymore. Every time she’d gone after it, every time she tried to rule everything, it just went wrong. She’d given up, and I think that her ego is finally in a place of humility, and now she’s ready to lead.”

“I think that she [understands] the weight and the pressure of bringing her people back together. And I think, for the first time, she’s looking to somebody else for guidance. She has the support of the Armorer and her faith, which is very inspiring.”

Considering that Bo-Katan’s long-awaited leadership by wielding the Darksaber has finally arrived, only fans know what this could mean for The Mandalorian series. Especially seeing as new reports keep tirelessly circulating around Pedro Pascal supposedly exiting the show.

Apparently, Pascal was reportedly not happy with the creative decision of favoring Bo-Katan leading the Mandalorians with Din and Grogu no longer being the focus of the show. This is perhaps because Bo-Katan’s next step is leading up to where we will see Ahsoka, the next upcoming live-action Star Wars series to connect the dots in the franchise.

While The Mandalorian is expected to extend up to two more seasons, exec producer Rick Famuyiwa sheds light on why Din’s replacement would make sense: “Who is the Mandalorian at this point? And so I think it could be anyone. And I think that’s what they’re trying to define in many ways, is what does that mean to be Mandalorian?”

Meanwhile, The Mandalorian Season 3 is available to stream on Disney+.
