Patrick Stewart Continues to Hilariously Dodge Doctor Strange 2 Rumors

The internet broke when Patrick Stewart's voice appeared in the latest trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as it is a confirmation that Charles Xavier will be making an appearance on the film. It also drove fans to speculate more about the upcoming sequel and which other characters will be making a cameo in the film.

Days after the trailer was released, Stewart finally broke his silence about his voice appearance in the trailer in which he played coy and seemingly deny that it was him even though it's already obvious that we heard his voice during that moment. As the Emmy-nominated actor continues to do rounds of interviews in relation to the release of the second season of Star Trek: Picard, he is also continuously denying his involvement in the film.

A recent example is his interview with Yahoo! Entertainment's Ethan Alter in which he was directly asked if it was his voice that we heard in the latest Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer. The actor simply responded, "Who's Doctor Strange?" while looking at the camera and raising his eyebrows. You can check the clip below:

This is in alignment with the actor's responses so far regarding the question. It's obvious that he was also just playing along with everyone as he is aware that everyone is speculating regarding his appearance thanks to the recent trailer and knows that it was indeed his voice that we heard.

A lot of people might be wondering about why Stewart is denying his appearance even though the trailer already heavily implied it. A safe guess is that perhaps Marvel asked him to not make any confirmations in the interviews and he is just simply honoring the NDA that he signed regarding his involvement in the project. To be fair, we only heard a voice during the trailer so it's not a 100% confirmation of his appearance (even though it's obvious that it's him).

For now, all we can do is speculate about what will happen in the film until its release. There are a lot of rumors and speculations that have been popping up all over the web and, if they are all true, it just shows that the film is indeed going to be a "multiverse of madness."
