Park Bo Young will soon reach the second decade of her career, but not everyone has been a fan of her.

Following her debut in 2006 through the shirt film Equal, Park Bo Young started to land different roles in different projects that made her earn several accolades and awards.

Among her most recent recognitions include Seoul International Drama Awards’ Outstanding Korean Actress, KCA Consumer Day Awards’ Best Actress, V Live Awards’ Special V Live – V Live Special Thanks, and Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards’ Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation.

Despite that, Park Bo Young personally learned that some people who watched her films were dissatisfied with her performance.

Park Bo Young Learns People’s True Reaction to Her Works

During her appearance on You Quiz on the Block, Park Bo Young spoke candidly about the time when she discovered moviegoers’ reactions to her films.

The Strong Woman Bong-Soon actress noted that they always hold test screenings before releasing her films. They invite people the cast members know to ensure that the events are all fun.

So in order to know people’s responses, she once went in among regular moviegoers.

When she went to the cinema’s washroom, she reportedly heard people talking about her acting ang giving criticisms about it.

Once, I was washing my hands when one moviegoer said about my acting. I kept washing my hands while thinking, ‘Was I that bad? Did I not do well?'” she recalled.

Park Bo Young got the chance to prove them wrong and improve herself again in the upcoming drama adaptation of Morning Comes to Psychiatric Wards Too. Recent reports revealed that she is yet to confirm her appearance, but fans already feel excited as he would work with All of Us Are Dead director Lee Jae Gyu in the drama.

Jokes aside, Park Bo Young also took her time to show the soft side of her.

She told Jo Se Ho and Yoo Jae Suk about her close relationship with her two sisters, saying that she has a debt of gratitude to her older sister.

“My hometown is Chungcheong Province. I had to come [to Seoul] alone but because my parents were worried, they asked [my sister], ‘Can’t you go and stay with her?’ My older sister didn’t have friends in Seoul but she came with me. Since I was so busy, she cooked and cleaned for me, did my laundry, and sacrificed a lot,” she said.

The actress recalled how her younger sister also left everything she was doing in Seoul to take care of her when she got sick. She added that she found it hard to thank her despite being siblings.

She then emotionally noted how she chose to express her gratitude when her nephew was born. At that time, she gave her older sister a car so she could drive safely with her baby in the baby’s car seat.

In the end, Park Bo Young confessed that her sisters are her strength, and she is always the best actress for them.
