Park Bo Gum officially sealed a contract with YG Entertainment’s subsidiary, THEBLACKLABEL, a month after he left his former agency, Blossom Entertainment.
In December, Blossom Entertainment confirmed in a statement that Park Bo Gum decided not to renew his contract with the company after 10 years of working together. The Love in the Moonlight star then sparked rumors that he would join HYBE or YG Entertainment after receiving offers from them.
The rumors were later denied, and the actor officially secured a deal with another agency.
Park Bo Gum Signs Contract With THEBLACKLABEL
THEBLACKLABEL, as reported by ISPLUS, released a statement Monday confirming that Park Bo Gum was officially part of its agency following a contract signing.
The company applauded the actor’s career and legacy, praising him for being one of the country’s leading actors who have been receiving an outpouring of love and support from the general public.
Its statement continued:
“We are extremely delighted to be able to work together with actor Park Bo Gum, whose global influence extends beyond Korea. As actor Park Bo Gum has a wide variety of charms and talents, we will maximize our use of THEBLACKLABEL’s strengths and know-how so that he can deepen his charms in many different fields, including as an actor. We will go all out in our support [of Park Bo Gum] all over the world.”

THEBLACKLABEL, an associate of YG Entertainment, was founded in 2015 by Teddy and Kush. It is currently home to actors Lee Jun Young, Ella Gross, Lee Joo Myung and Heo Jae Hyuk. Jeon Somi, Taeyang, Vince, Loren and Zion. T are also part of the company.
Park Bo Gum is famous for his roles in movies and K-drama series like Seo Bok, Coin Locker Girl, The Producers, Reply 1988, Love in the Moonlight, Encounter, Itaewon Class and Record of Youth.
With his new agency, the actor will star in his newest K-drama series with IU.
Park Bo Gum, IU To Work Together in You Have Done Well
Pan Entertainment revealed on Jan. 27 that IU and Park Bo Gum would work together in the upcoming drama, You Have Done Well. They have been cast to play the roles of Ae Soon and Gwan Shik, respectively.
The series will explore the duo’s story after they were born on Jeju Island in the 1950s.
Fight For My Way and When the Camellia Blooms writer Im Sang Choon writes the series. Meanwhile, Kim Won Seok is set to direct after previously working on Signal and My Mister.
