The third season of Netflix's popular teen drama series Outer Banks may not be arriving on the streaming service this summer, but it has shared a casting update. On Thursday, Netflix has announced it has added Andy McQueen (Mrs. Davis, Station Eleven), Fiona Palomo (Control Z, La Negociadora) and Lou Ferrigno Jr (S.W.A.T., Stargirl) to its Season 3 cast, Deadline reports.

The three newcomers will join OBX's familiar cast that includes Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Jonathan Daviss, Madison Bailey, Rudy Pankow, Drew Starkey, Austin North, Charles Esten, Deion Smith, Elizabeth Mitchell, and Carlacia Grant.

McQueen will play Carlos Singh, a Caribbean Don who's described to be intelligent, refined, and ruthless, and is out on a treasure hunt of his own.

Palamo will play the role of Sofia, who identifies as a Pogue but secretly wants to be a part of the country club crowd. She's described to be likable and scrappy, and starts to form a close connection to Rafe (Drew Starkey).

Ferrigno will play Ryan, Singh's calm and collected but young and hungry top security officer and enforcer. He's done enough jobs to keep a cool head but also knows what could happen if he fails.

For those unfamiliar with Netflix's action-adventure mystery series, Outer Banks is a coming-of-age story that follows a tight-knit group of local teens (the “Pogues”) in the beach vacation destination of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. After their near-death escape, Season 2 finds John B (Chase Stokes) and Sarah (Madelyn Cline) on the run — and in over their heads — in the Bahamas.

In a previous interview with EliteDaily, Stokes said this about OBX 3: "The writers really like to keep us on our toes, and I think that creates performances that catch you in the moment ... I've no idea what's going on past what we've shot in Barbados. I think a lot of loose ends are going to get tied up. A lot of questions will be answered. And per usual, these kids are going to get put through the wringer."
