Only Murders in the Building Season 3 has a lot of mysteries to solve. After revealing its new victim as Ben (Paul Rudd), who is the man or woman behind his death? Is the perpetrator the “her” Charles (Steve Martin) warned Ben about?

In the Season 2 finale, Charles confronted Ben about his “problematic behavior.” “Stay away from her. I know what you did,” he said. So, would Only Murders in the Building Season 3 reveal the woman behind “her?”

Who is ‘Her’ Charles Refers To?

Aside from finding the mysterious woman behind the “her” Charles referred to, the new season might also reveal what Ben did when the semi-retired actor said he knew what he did.

Fortunately, showrunner John Hoffman revealed Rudd would return to the series to add “a touch of a**hole” in the third season.

But aside from what he did, fans are eager to know who is the mysterious her. Thankfully, TVLine enlisted the women who may be behind this.

Lucy (Zoe Margaret Colletti)

Despite being Charles’ ex-stepdaughter, he cares about Lucy the most. No one knows who is Lucy’s biological dad or even his new stepfather, and Ben was just introduced. So, there might be a connection there.

Mabel (Selena Gomez)

Another woman who Charles is protective of is Mabel. These two have been through a lot, like solving Tim (Julian Chi) and Bunny’s (Jayne Houdyshell) murders.

If Mabel is indeed her, this will allow Gomez and Rudd to be seen on one screen again in Only Murders in the Building Season 3 after the 2016 drama Fundamentals of Caring.

Alice (Cara Delevingne)

On the play's opening night, Mabel sat beside Oliver (Martin Shortman), Lucy, and Joy (Andrea Martin), while Alice was nowhere to be found.

It has been known that Joy played a major role in the trio’s Killer Reveal party and even remains amicable with her ex-girlfriend Mabel. So, what is the plausible reason she wasn’t seated with the group?

Will Cara Delevingne Return to Only Murders in the Building Season 3?

Talking about Delevingne’s Alice, will she still be seen in Only Murders in the Building Season 3?

The previous season featured a one-year time jump, putting the show on a reset. So, each character had their own journey that year, and Mabel experienced the most unexpected ride of her life as Charles and Oliver did the play.

“Her world has moved forward,” Hoffman said, per Digital Spy. With that said, the returning characters in the third season would all depend on where Mabel would go.

“Alice’s storyline [resolved itself] in a rather sweet way, with the beginning of a reparation in that friendship [with Mabel],” he explained. “I like the chumminess that’s there. But I don’t think we’re aiming towards any more of a love relationship."

So, this may mean the second season ends Alice’s journey in the series. Does this mean she’s not the “her” fans have been looking for?
