Tracy Spiridakos breaks her silence over Jesse Lee Soffer’s exit in the upcoming Chicago P.D. Season 10.
Spiridakos and Soffer play the on-screen lovers Hailey Upton and Jay Halstead, dubbed Upstead. By the looks of it, Chicago P.D. Season 10 will be the last time fans will see them together.

Spiridakos addresses Soffer’s Chicago P.D. Season 10 exit in a post on Instagram.
She wrote,
“Jesse, what can I say, you’re the absolute best. Thank you for your kindness, your guidance and your friendship. You’re the greatest on-screen husband a girl could ask for. I’ll miss being on set with you every day. I can’t wait to see what the world has in store for you next. #upsteadforever.”
Upton and Halsted started their romance in the series’ eighth season. In Season 9, they decided to elope at the courthouse and secretly married.

The two became a fan favorite, and many loved their cute love story that viewers started to coin the term Upstead.
The on-screen couple was last seen in the Season 9 finale, where they took Anna (Carmela Zumbado) down after holding Voight (Jason Beghe) at gunpoint.
How Will Jesse Lee Soffer Leave Chicago P.D. Season 10?
Soffer was promoted into a series regular in 2014. According to TV Insider, the actor is currently filming Chicago P.D. Season 10, but there are no words yet on how and when he will leave the series.
However, there are assumptions that his final episode will be seen sometime this fall. There are also theories that a dramatic death scene may be featured for some good ratings.
If it happens, possible guest appearances may happen and close the door on the Upstead couple for good.

Jesse Lee Soffer Announces Chicago P.D. Season 10 Exit
In an interview with Variety, Soffer officially announced his Chicago P.D. Season 10 exit, surprising everyone.
He said,
“I want to thank the incredible fans for their unwavering support during the past 10 years and want to express my deepest gratitude to Dick Wolf and everyone at Wolf Entertainment, Peter Jankowski, Matt Olmstead, Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, Rick Eid, Gwen Sigan, NBC, Universal Television, my fellow castmates and our incredible crew. To create this hour drama week after week has been a labor of love by everyone who touches the show. I will always be proud of my time as Det. Jay Halstead.”

Chicago P.D. Season 10 will premiere on September 21.
