What is Onipan About?
The anime will follow three demon kids who become human through the power of onipan (a combination of "oni" and "pantsu"). It is a story that will tackle love, friendship, and the power of underpants!
Their mission is to pacify the relationship between demons and humans. In order to accomplish their goal, the three demon kids, namely Himawari, Tsustuji, and Tsuyukusa, enroll in a Tokyo high school. There, they will use the power of onipan as they juggle their everyday student life with humans.
Himawari is the mischievous demon out of the three while sporting the highest skills in the group. Meanwhile, Tsuyukusa is more laidback, with a motto "I hope I can do it tomorrow, if not today." Lastly, Tsutsuji has a passion for city life and fashion.
From here on, the anime will show how the three demons will be able to fix their misconstrued demon image to reach out to humans. Kawaii bonus! The three demon kids sometimes become idols!
Onipan Release Date
The original anime, produced by Wit Studio, will premiere in April 2022 as part of the 2022 Spring Anime lineup, according to its official Twitter account and promotional video.
The original anime is a collaboration project of AAO Project, AOI Pro, Amuse, and Origamix Partners. Details about which Japanese TV stations and programs that will premiere Onipan are still unannounced.

Where to Watch Onipan
There is little information available for the premiere of Onipan on Japanese TV screens or even with online streaming. However, it is assumed that Crunchyroll will pick up the show in the weeks to come due to their news coverage of Onipan. It is likely that new information will be available prior to the release of Onipan in April of 2022.
What Studio is Producing Onipan?
Onipan will be produced by Wit Studio.
Wit Studio is widely known for the anime Attack on Titan. Hence, a lot of fans are keeping tabs on Onipan. This is one of the many firsts for Wit Studio, as they embark on the world of cute demons with a comedy fantasy theme.
Onipan will be directed by Masahiko Oota, who has previously worked on anime shows such as Himouto! Umaru-chan, Chobits, To Love-Ru, and Yuru Yuri. The series composition will be made by Takashi Aoshima, who also worked on anime shows such as Aho-Girl and Ah! My Goddess.
Meanwhile, Yasuhiko Misawa will be working on Onipan’s music. He has also worked on anime shows such as Kokoro Connect, Gabriel Dropout, and Arcana Famiglia.
In terms of voice acting, the three demons will be brought to life by Yome Nuzaki (Tsutsuji), Mika Negishi (Himawari), and Kokona Nonaka (Tsuyukusa). All three of them have played some of the most prominent roles in many anime shows.
