It has been over three months since the release of Volume 104, and now, the One Piece Volume 105 cover has finally been revealed, and it features the new Four Emperors along with a special guest.

As the upcoming volume will compile the post-Wano arc chapters, it makes sense that the Four Emperors are at the forefront.

After all, this was a major reveal, and it was proof of Luffy’s achievements. Funnily though, the Emperors are joined by Carrot, and there’s a good reason for it.

The new cover was revealed via the official One Piece Twitter account. Though fans were able to see the cover a bit earlier as it was also showcased in the latest Weekly Shonen Jump issue, albeit only in black and white.

Volume 105’s full-color cover is the best way to appreciate creator Eiichiro Oda’s art though, especially as it features some of the biggest players that remain in the series.

The cover features Buggy, Shanks, Blackbeard, and Luffy in his Gear 5 form. Carrot is also in the middle of the Emperors.

The last two volumes also heavily feature Luffy in his Gear 5 form, though the other characters in Volumes 103 and 104 were key players of the Wano arc.

Technically, the Wano Country arc ends in Chapter 1057, so the last two Wano chapters will be part of this next volume.

But aside from those, the rest of the new volume will feature the exciting developments of the post-Wano arc.

Volume 105 Recreates Old One Piece Cover

Long-time One Piece fans may be familiar with the latest volume’s cover. This is because it is actually a recreation of an old cover from years ago.

Specifically, the cover recreates Volume 25, which also features Buggy, Shanks, Blackbeard, and Luffy, albeit as younger versions of themselves. In the middle is Sengoku’s pet goat.

The new cover features the same set of characters, with the goat replaced by Carrot.

While this is a nice throwback to the past, some One Piece fans already believe this to be insane levels of foreshadowing.

While this might just be coincidental, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Eiichiro Oda already planned for these four to become the Emperors even two decades ago.

One Piece Volume 105 will be released in Japan on March 3, 2023. There’s no word yet on a release date outside Japan though.
