People have huge expectations when it comes to the One Piece live-action series but there's one thing that is clear about the upcoming show. The main cast members have truly embraced their roles as they recreate an iconic Straw Hats Pirates moment from the anime.
Live-Action Straw Hats Pirates Prepare For First Public Appearance Together
The cast of the One Piece live-action show was recently in Brazil for TUDUM 2023, a global fan event for Netflix's projects. This would mark the first time that Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skylar make a public appearance in a major event since they were cast in the adaptation.
This is a major milestone for the cast and it looks like they prepared for it in the most fitting way. The five actors got together in a huddle and put their feet together.
If that looks familiar, it's a recreation of the iconic moment when the Straw Hats Pirates performed a launching ceremony as they got ready to cross the Grand Line, taking a step towards their dreams. The scene was an amazing moment in the anime based on Eiichiro Oda's manga.
We're certainly hoping that the cast members' dreams come true as well as they take a major step forward with the release of the One Piece live-action trailer.
In addition to that, the upcoming series finally got an official release date and will begin streaming on Netflix this August. Needless to say, this is a ship that's ready to set sail and we can't wait to see the Straw Hats Pirates in action.
One Piece will star Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Vinsmoke Sanji.
One Piece will premiere on Netflix on August 31, 2023.
