Ahead of its official release in Weekly Shonen Jump, One Piece Chapter 1,058 leaks finally showed the bounty of Mihawk, the strongest swordsman in the world.
While issues of Shonen Jump are released every Sunday, chapter leaks typically happen a couple of days before, with images of the print copies finding their way online.
For One Piece, the latest chapter spoilers spread online, and they showed off the updated bounties of the series’ principal characters.
The excitement for these new bounties was high enough that the hashtag #ONEPIECE1058 trended on Twitter with well over 10k Tweets.
Spoiler Warning: There are One Piece Chapter 1,058 spoilers in this article.
Mihawk is one of the strongest characters in One Piece so it’s no surprise that he has an official bounty of 3.59 billion. This gives him one of the highest bounties ever in the series’ world.
For reference, only a couple of powerful characters have (or had) a higher bounty than Mihawk. These include Kaido, Charlotte Linlin, and Shanks, all of whom got over 4 million berries in bounties.
Since Mihawk appeared in the early chapters of One Piece, fans have long speculated about his bounty. Now, over 1,000 chapters in, the debate can now be put to rest.
Aside from Mihawk, the chapter also revealed the updated bounties of the Straw Hat crew.
Currently, Luffy stands at 3 billion berries. Joining him in the billion-berry bounty club are Zoro, Jinbei, and Sanji, all of whom have over 1 billion in bounties.
Along with bounties, this new chapter also featured some interesting events, including a showcase of Mihawk and Crocodile’s power.
The previous One Piece chapter saw the conclusion of the Wano Country arc. It also revealed that the Straw Hat ally Yamato won’t be joining the crew.
Prior to those events, fans have speculated that Yamato would become the newest member of Luffy’s pirate crew.
While there are still lots of major events to come in the series, creator Eiichiro Oda recently shared that the series is heading towards its final arc.
One Piece Chapter 1,058 will be released officially on August 28, 2022, in Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan, and in Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump app internationally.
