Once Upon a Deadpool Framing Device Was Predicted One Year Ago By a Fan

It's amazing how a random tweet from a year ago can result in an actual cut of a movie that will be premiering this December but that's exactly what happened. A fan predicted the framing device that will be used for Once Upon a Deadpool one year ago, which is ridiculous. And yet, here we are waiting for a PG-13 cut of Deadpool 2 that uses this exact storytelling method to avoid a lot of gore, sex, and violence.

M.V. Bramley, a Ryan Reynolds fan, tweeted the Detective Pikachu star a year ago and suggested that they use a Princess Bride-style framing device to cut away from all of the R-18 stuff, complete with a kidnapped adult Fred Savage. Fans can check out the tweet below for proof but it doesn't make the coincidence any less crazy.

Only time will tell if Reynolds took the idea from this fan or if it was a random coincidence but this is really surprising. Does it mean those fans who watched the R-rated version of Deadpool 2 will watch Once Upon a Deadpool? It's hard to say since the movie is clearly aimed at teens who like the character but the supposed new scenes that will be added could tempt them.

Deadpool 2 is available now on Blu-Ray and DVD, with a number of deleted scenes that should tempt fans who have yet to see them. Once Upon a Deadpool comes out next month.
