Nintendo Switch USB-C Accessory Leaked

There's still a few weeks before the expected January event for the Nintendo Switch.

But already, a couple of leaks have started to appear, this time from an unlikely source. While some developers have been expressing interest and even hinting at their own projects for the console.

This time, Australian website EB Games AU has purportedly leaked the sale of the USB-C cord for Nintendo Switch. According to Nintendo Wire, the leak was not yet corroborated by Nintendo representatives.

What's interesting about the USB-C cord is that they are the extra long variant for charging the Nintendo Switch. The product seems to be from the @Play company, and it has marked the accessory as an "extra long Nintendo Switch charging cable."

For now, it appears that the third-party has been alerted to the find, and the page featuring the product has been taken down.

This is, of course, far from a confirmation of the Nintendo Switch's use of extra long charging cables. But in case these do push through, you may want to set aside $19.95 to get the longer charging cable variant. There are also the USB-A and USB-B options, all of which are supposedly compatible with the Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Switch is expected to launch sometime in early 2017.
