Nintendo Reveals Universal Studios Parks Efforts


Theme parks and attractions have been currently enjoying some spotlight. And now Nintendo joins the ranks of those that will take center stage following the reveal of more details on what's planned and what's happening for the franchise.

In a new video released by Nintendo, Universal Creative's Mark Woodbury and Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto spoke on their thoughts about the companies' collaboration. The park expansion may be Nintendo's way of bringing more of its beloved franchise to audiences in Universal Studios Japan.

According to them, the goal is deliver a section that will have a cohesive theme, and one that will provide an avenue for entertainment, shopping, and dining for patrons.

"We're always looking for the next great idea, and the next great place to take people. And Nintendo fit the bill, and it was a natural fit."

Miyamoto adds that their goal was to give the viewers the sense of immersion in the brand in a way that only the theme park attraction can offer.

"We are constantly amazed how the park developers are bringing the essence of our games to life in the real world. Together, we are building it with an eye for what guests will actually experience."

For those who feel that they may be looking at a more kiddie ride for the Nintendo pocket section of Universal Studios Japan, think again. Miyamoto also added tat thy have attractions that target everyone regardless of age.

The rides for the Nintendo area in Universal Studios Japan will likely be released in the coming years, so stay tuned.
