Nickelodeon Star Reportedly Plays a Big Role in Agatha: Coven of Chaos

WandaVision's spinoff Agatha: Coven of Chaos continues to excite the fans with every casting announcement they release, starting with Parks and Recreation star Aubrey Plaza and Heartstopper actor Joe Locke. Another piece of news has recently emerged as another cast member has been revealed with a role that would be a one-off if based on what currently exists in the Marvel Comics canon.

According to the show’s IMDB page, Nickelodeon star Trey Sartorius has been cast to play Nate Richards in the upcoming Marvel series. The page currently indicates that this character is going to appear in one episode, but that could change once more information is revealed.

The character Sartorius will play is what makes this casting significant. Nate Richards, also known as Iron Lad, is the Young Avengers' leader. Richards first appeared in the Young Avengers comic book series in 2015. He is the "adolescent version" of Kang the Conqueror, the main antagonist of the multiverse saga.

As a scientist who discovered the multiverse and his alternate selves, Kang sought to conquer as many worlds as possible, so he started the Multiversal War. Given that he doesn't want to end up like his future self, Richards forms his own superhero team, which includes characters from the MCU such as America Chavez, Hawkeye (Kate Bishop), Speed (Tommy Maximoff), and Wiccan (Billy Maximoff).

As the beginning of Phase Five approaches, MCU fans anticipate the big screen debut of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, with the audience about to witness Kang’s power and various variants leading up to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Despite the plot for Agatha: Coven of Chaos remaining under wraps, Kang’s younger version will play a significant role in this, so fans have to tune in.

The cast of Agatha: Coven of Chaos includes Kathryn Hahn, who will be the focus of the sequel and is set to reprise her role as the powerful witch Agatha Harkness, with Patti LuPone, Debra Jo Rupp, Emma Caulfield Ford, Sasheer Zamata, Maria Dizzia, Ali Ahn, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Kate Forbes, and Brian Brightman.
