As the MCU fans anticipate the big screen debut of the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the eagerness comes with waiting for Jonathan Majors to assume the role of the conqueror.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Majors opened up the reason he was enthusiastic about portraying Kang, highlighting the multiple versions that he has yet to unravel through him.

“Yeah, absolutely. That’s what’s on the page. That’s what the IP says. I was cool, very cool. Kang just lives in his own world in the MCU. No spoilers here, but there’s so many variants of him.” he said.

Majors briefly discussed the MCU elements that helped him portray the warrior and strategist that he finds so appealing.

The actor explained, “And with the powers that are the MCU, that intelligentsia and that brain trust there, they’re just really working to use the IP to its best ability, and it’s extremely humbling that they picked me to step into that.”

The Ant-Man 3 actor expressed the honor he’s feeling to show the alternate selves of Kang the villain to the audience.

“So I’m honored to do it, and I’m always excited to see what we’re doing… Kang is a career in itself. It’s either the cake itself or the cherry on top, I don’t know. But to play multiple versions, it’s just beautiful. It’s a workshop every day.” said the Lovecraft Country actor.

Kang’s franchise debut was teased in the Loki season 1 finale as He Who Remains, the mysterious creator of the Time Variance Authority who warns Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) about the dangerous variants out in the multiverse.

Following the affecting portrayal of Thanos as a baddie, MCU fans suppose Kang will succeed as a supervillain, given his compelling skills in time travel and level of intellect to travel through the multiverse.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hits theaters on February 17, 2023.
