Niantic Will Not Abandon Pokémon GO, Despite Making Harry Potter: Wizards Unite


Harry Potter fans everywhere got very excited when it was announced that Niantic would be developing Harry Potter: Wizards Unite for mobile devices. However, with these project being worked on, some fans wondered if Pokemon GO would be affected by this in any way. Niantic assured fans that they would keep supporting the game and are in fact hiring more developers for the revolutionary mobile game.

On a blog post, Niantic brought up Wizards Unite and how excited the developers are to work on the upcoming AR (augmented reality) game. The post stated that the team is continuing to work on Pokemon GO and making it an ever-changing game that will keep fans guessing. As a way to show their continued support, the developers announced a new update coming next week.

While it's not as popular as it once was, it's good seeing Niantic continuing to support the game. The developers have added a number of new Pokemon and event since its initial launch, though some would argue that it's too little too late. Still, the continued support is appreciated, especially with more Pokemon to be added.
