NewJeans showed off its power again through its hit song, Ditto.
Less than six years since the girl group debuted, NewJeans dropped the new song Ditto and immediately scored a commercial and critical success. The song, which is part of the girl group’s first single album OMG, reached the top spot on RIAS, Circle, and Vietnam Hot 100.
Recently, NewJeans added another No. 1 to the list.
NewJeans Reaches Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart for the 1st Time
Billboard confirmed that NewJeans’ Ditto entered its Hot 100 chart for the first time on Jan. 21, debuting at No. 96. The music and entertainment magazine estimated the song had 5.1 million US streams in the Jan. 6 to 12 tracking week.
According to its data, the track is currently at No. 5 on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart and No. 9 on Billboard Global 200. It noted that TikTok played a huge role in the song’s growing popularity.

The song notably sold over 700,000 copies within the first week of its release. It has since turned people’s heads for offering “new music” to fans all over the globe due to its retro-style theme.
The recognition made NewJeans the first K-pop band that debuted after September 2016 to reach the chart. Overall, it became the fifth K-pop act to do so, following Wonder Girls, BTS, BLACKPINK and TWICE.
NewJeans Makes It to Circle Monthly Charts
Circle unveiled its monthly charts for this month, showing NewJeans’ name in different categories.
The girl group’s HypeBoy climbed to No. 2 on Circle’s Overall Digital Chart following Younha. LE SSERAFIM and IVE secured No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
The same song ranked No. 2 on Circle’s streaming chart, with Youngha’s Event Horizon standing on top. LE SSERAFIM’s Antifragile, IVE’s After LIKE and (G)I-DLE’s Nxde appeared from No. 3 to 5.
NewJeans’ Ditto, on the other hand, debuted at No. 1 on its Global K-pop chart.
