New Thor: Love and Thunder Hilarious Deleted Scene Features Thor Meeting Another Greek God

Chris Hemsworth's triumphant return as the beloved God of Thunder in the recent MCU box office milestone Thor: Love and Thunder was undoubtedly welcomed by the fans. Helmed by director Taika Waititi, Love and Thunder follows Hemsworth's titular hero whose retirement was disrupted by Christian Bale's Gorr The God Butcher, while also embracing the fact that there's a new Thor in the MCU, and that's no other than Natalie Portman's Jane Foster.

Now that Thor: Love and Thunder has already pulled out of theaters and is ahead to its premiere in Disney+, a new deleted scene was released by Marvel Studios, featuring Zeus' (Rusell Crowe) son, Dionysus, the God of Fertility, played by Simon Russell Beale.

The scene follows Thor, Korg, and Valkyrie in Omnipotent City while searching for the God of Lightning Zeus and stumbled upon the gracious yet peculiar son of the Greek god. Thor asked for directions on the whereabouts of Zeus, but Dionysus seemingly answered in a very bizarre manner.

Considering Simon Russell Beale's impressive acting resume, the actor's inclusion in Thor: Love and Thunder is a missed opportunity to cast him in a substantial role.

Nonetheless, now that the Greek Gods were finally introduced into the MCU with Thor: Love and Thunder foreshadowing Hercules as the next Thor villain, Zeus and Dionysus might get a more prominent feature down the line.

Alongside Hemsworth, Thor: Love and Thunder features Natalie Portman as Jane Foster aka Lady Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Taika Waititi as Korg, Russell Crowe as Zeus, Brett Goldstein as Hercules, and Christian Bale as Gorr The God Butcher.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be available to stream on Disney+ on Thursday, September 8.
