New Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Trailer Makes Reference to No Way Home


Sony has released the new trailer for the upcoming film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse which gave us a brand new look at Miles Morales' next multiversal adventure. As we've already speculated, the new preview gave us more insights about the hundred variants of Spider-Man that we will meet in the film.

Spider-Woman, Spider-Punk, Spider-Man India, and Scarlet Spider were among the new characters that were highlighted in the new trailer. The Spot, the main villain of the film, also got his moment to shine as they gave us a look at his looming threat into the multiverse.

However, most notably, it also made a major reference to the MCU as they featured a scene where Miguel O'Hara is calling out the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home where Doctor Strange and Peter Parker accidentally brought other variants of the live-action Spider-Man and the villains into the MCU.

The new trailer certainly promises that the upcoming film will deliver the same heartfelt entertainment and thrill that we experienced in the first one. The MCU reference is definitely intriguing and it's interesting to see whether it has some implication for the story.

The film's synopsis reads: "After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most."

The voice cast includes Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, and Shea Whigham.
