New Pokemon Go Bug Alert Transforms ‘Mons After Catching Them

And the sighting continues—sadly, not of new ‘mons, but more bugs inPokemon Go.

This time, players are reporting the bug to change their Pokemon after they have been caught. Discussions are already exploding left and right in several forums and threads.

Over at GameFAQs, one forums poster Charizard90 has not only provided his own experience, but also a video to show that the bug is real.

"So I was playing earlier today and my radar showed a Charmander nearby and since I am almost ready to evolve into Charizard, I went looking for it. I encountered it a little while later and started "fighting" it… now the radar showed a Charmander, the overworld showed a Charmander, the catching screen showed a Charmander but then… I finally caught it and in the screen after you catch a Pokemon… a bulbasaur appeared."

According to the OP, this happened a second time, wherein he had caught an Abra but saw a Rhyhorn onscreen. The video, seen below, shows another player who managed to catch a Goldeen but had a Spearow in its place.

Reddit is also seeing a lot of similar comments. One OP started a megathread wherein he had caught a Caterpie only to find a Charizard in its place in the Pokedex.

This is not the only issue that Pokemon Go players are experiencing. Following the big update, there have been reports of broken Nearby trackers and wiped out data from several players.

Pokemon Go developer Niantic Labs has already reached out to fans with an official statement on what's been happening in the game. Let's see what will happen in the next few days for this new glitch.
